On July 27th, my son Ezekiel and I visited Hope Valley Day Camp to see what a day
at camp is like. We went to the office and got a visitor’s pass and then headed over
to the senior chapel where they were singing songs.
It was a gorgeous day and there were various activities on the agenda. The first
of which we visited were the tractor rides.
At the junior chapel, Uncle David was just starting to tell the Bible story using
the flannel graph board.
The latest improvement that has been built is the new amphitheatre and campfire,
down near the pool. I thought you might like to see it too, so I took a picture of
it for you!
They played some sports - floor hockey, soccer baseball, and basketball.
All of the kids enjoyed the obstacle course. It is very elaborately built with balance
beams, tires, and logs.
If you heard about the new building at the camp, this is it! It is a gorgeous little
place for the camp programmers to use.
Being an exceptionally hot day, everyone was excited for their turn in the pool!
And then snacks were enjoyed at the tuck shop... ice cream being a favourite treat
The heat was also escaped in the craft room where the kids made some very creative
What a great day at camp... Ezekiel will certainly sleep well tonight!
